The end of the year is upon us, and as I’ve finished up the grueling 2011 convention season, I’m now in studio until early next year, finishing up outstanding commissions and projects, and getting new product ready for next year. 2012 will see not only a massive expansion of the print line, but also publication of many of the oustanding sequential work I’ve had on the burners, including Legend of the Red Reaper in early 2012, Zombies of Sherwood in the Spring, and The Crusade hitting later in the year. And while you’ll still see new superhero art, expect to be bombarded by A LOT of medieval/fantasy art, including original characters, as I shift back towards my true artistic passion…epic historic fiction!

So as I say goodbye to 2011, let me leave you with a little glimpse of the pencil roughs of one of the new prints debuting in January…KILL THEM ALL!!!!

The Get Medieval-LA Invasion Begins at Comikaze!!!

On Nov 5-6 at the LA Convention Center, get ready for the Michael Champion GET MEDIEVAL-LA Invasion at the Comikaze Expo! This piece of art, featuring my take on Comikaze’s Octopus mascot, will be handed out to VIP ticket holders, so get your tickets now!

This will be my FIRST EVER West Coast appearance, so in addition to the usual travelling dog and pony show, expect to see the premier of some new original art prints! I’ll also be doing portraits of attendees as zombies; my commission list books up fast, so don’t wait, get signed up early!

Also in attendance at ComiKaze is some cat who goes by the name of Stan Lee. I hear he’s a big deal, so come see him, too! This looks like it’s going to be a fantastic show, don’t miss it!

Mid Ohio Comic Con this weekend!

The Michael Champion 2011 cross country tour continues! Come see me this weekend at the Mid Ohio Comic Con, table #937. This will be one of the final appearances for the current stock of prints, once they’re gone, they’re unlikely to return! I’ll also be drawing portraits of attendees as zombies. My commissions list fills up fast, so get on it early! Looking forward to seeing local fans, and making new ones!

Star Wars Fandays This Weekend!!!

Come see me this weekend at the Star Wars fandays at the NEW Irving Convention center (check my schedule at the top of this page for the link to the show’s website). I’ll be debuting these NEW prints, all available in both 11×17 and 8.5×11 sizes. Supplies will be VERY limited, so BUY EARLY!!! In addition to the usual superhero commissions, I’ll also be drawing portraits of attendees as Zombies, Jedi, Sith Lords and members of Star Fleet. So come out and meet the actors and actresses who played Chewbacca, Lando Calrissian, Sulu, Dharma from Buffy & Angel, Comic Book Legend Jim Steranko and MORE!!! Lando Print debuting at Star Wars Fandays!

This weekend, October 8-9 at the new Irving Convention Center, come out to the Star Wars Fandays and YOU can pick up one of my new Lando Calrissian prints. And then, get it signed by Billy Dee Williams, who will be one of the featured guests! I’ll have a spot in Artist Alley, doing the usual dog and pony show. This is a great show, don’t miss out!

That’s right, you can now start ordering art from me online! Though the link has been visible on the right hand side of this page for a couple of weeks, there’s now actual product available! I’m slowly getting product uploaded, so check back over the upcoming weeks for updates. If you’re looking for some of my older prints, you’ll have to contact me directly as they’re slowly going to be phased out and not available for purchase online. For now, we’ve opened with a BRAND NEW art print of Batman, drawn by ME, of course! Various sizes available, including new 18×24, which are signed and numbered! These will be limited to a 200 print run, and given the number of shows I do, will sell out fast, so get yours while they’re still available! Once they’re sold out, they’re gone, baby, gone!
